Information Concerning Frequently Asked Questions About Trick-or-Treating

Here is the 411 on trick-or-treating….trick-or-treating has never been an activity officially sanctioned or encouraged by the park. However, it has become a tradition among many campers over the years to trick-or-treat in the campground. For safety, it is recommended that trick-or-treating be limited to the hours of 4:30-6:30 PM on Saturdays in October. The campground is NOT open to members of the public to trick-or-treat who are not registered campers. We are a non-profit “Friends” organization and do not speak officially for the park, but this is the park’s stance on this. For those who have further questions we suggest contacting the state park office at (812) 937-4710
