Membership Information
We’re ready for another great year volunteering and supporting our favorite park…Lincoln State Park! You’ve been meaning to do it, but it’s time to finally take the plunge and become an OFFICIAL friend of Lincoln State Park by renewing or joining for the first time. Why?
Well… Our members are people who love Lincoln State Park and want to help keep it healthy and vibrant for future generations. The Friends of Lincoln State Park provide volunteers, plan activities and events, and raise funds for specific projects within the park. Just a few of our projects and activities include:
- funding for rehabilitation work on Trails 1 and 3;
- funding for a new cinnamon raccoon mount at the Nature Center;
- replacement of aging bulletin boards within the park;
- replacement of American chestnut trees near the Lincoln Bicentennial Plaza;
- purchase of a new fishing pier;
- purchase of kayaks and kayak docks;
- funding for a summer performance by the Honey Vines at the park;
- sponsorship of select Lincoln Amphitheatre events;
- hosting of the annual Fall Frolic events in October; and
- sponsorship of Mr. Lincoln’s Neighborhood 5K and the Honest Abe Trail Run
- sponsoring a special “Total Eclipse of the Park” live music event
- campground store library box
- new, larger tank for the nature center snapping turtle
- funding of a new boat launch dock
- funding for an interpretive CCC trail
- nature center exhibits
- and more!
The people who join our organization meet new people, have opportunities to learn and grow, and gain the satisfaction of doing their part to help support Lincoln State Park. As a member, you will receive occasional updates and newsletters with the latest news from Lincoln State Park. As a NEW member you’ll also receive a window decal for your windshield to show your support. We have varying levels of membership, but it only costs $25 to join, so what are you waiting for?

ALL MEMBERS RECEIVE OUR E-NEWSLETTER. NEW AND RETURNING MEMBERS IN 2026 WILL RECEIVE A FRIENDS OF LINCOLN STATE PARK WINDOW CLING AND HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN TICKETS TO A LINCOLN AMPHITHEATRE EVENT.
